Synchronisation products are not that common and to find one as good, fast and reliable as this is quite rare. Syncback has an endless list of features including data encryption, ftp connections, over network (with authorisation) file synchronisation and backup, local backing up and more.
Syncback is known for its efficent yet accurate calculations on which files are newer, more up to date, and should be kept. You can have it running in the background invisible to you apart from the system tray icon. Backup and synchronisation can be done automatically at timed intervals and with a given priority or can be manually started with additional file comparison and confirmation messages.
In recent test carried out by computer central we discovered just one fault / bug which may have been caused by windows networking serivces rather than syncback but it did stall and fail to close if it had problems when connecting to network locations.
All in all a very good application and one to try if data loss is a worry or you have one or more machines to keep in sync.
